Edgy … if you want to fall off the cliff

Tuesday 5 May 2009, 4.47pm HKT

They walk among us, knowing nothing, pretending to be all …

Bong! Bong! Bong! The fork is (what!) wrong. The glasses are wrong. And what kind of buttering knife is THAT!?!!

Doric order silver service, never to be used with gilded china. (As if they know what that means …)

You don’t need to be taught to know this: fish knives must stand alone!

Self-explanatory about the fork. (For pete’s sakes, you’ve got to be kidding me …)

* * *

Anyone who makes such incredible boo-boos (especially about their professional expertise) on prime-time television, anywhere, anytime, deserves to have their faces shown (blameless TV host on the left, pointless guest on the right).

Note the pained look on the presenter’s face (left).
