How to make good money

Sunday 28 February 2010, 8.10am HKT

Tips on getting what you like – instead of having to like what you get:

1. Pick the right career.

Far too many people pick their career based on money. You’ll be spending decades doing something, so you should want it to be something you actually like. A happier career brings in longer-lasting income than one you don’t enjoy.

2. Pay attention to your relationships.

Bring the right people into your life. Like, don’t date someone you don’t like just to have companionship. Too many people lose this common sense. Go find people who are a good fit for you.

3. Find a fulfilling hobby.

Everyone needs hobbies, which are either good for blowing off steam or keeping your mind sharp, or whatever. A hobby keeps you alive and sane.
