Policemen are human beings, too. They didn’t join up because they wanted to fight crime. They joined to get respect, to get even in one way or another, to earn money. Maybe even for fame. Just like the rest of us.
“Are you f**king mad? Didn’t they teach you anything in police school? Did they switch off your batteries for a whole year there or something?
“When was the last time you saw a policeman ‘doing it’ in the name of the law? You guys aren’t doing things to maintain law and order – to protect and to serve the rest of us. We’ve been together since we were young, you do your thing and I did mine.
“Every time a crime happens, it’s just another opportunity for you guys to get promoted. You get promoted, you earn more money. You’re not doing it to keep the general peace – otherwise you’ll draw fire from your people as well from the crooks. You can get bumped off thinking or behaving like that. Trust me, just take as a job like that – you’ll last longer in the police force and make fewer enemies inside and outside.”
