Question. Did you know that many of the kids in international schools in Hong Kong speak English with a very heavy country-yokel accent?

(Bet they didn’t know that themselves.)

    • Nah, that wasn’t what I meant. Three-quarters of them are HK kids and a quarter from abroad. We know that already. What I meant was they’ve got “… heavy country-yokel accents.” Geddit??? You know, heavy accents of country yokels. Oooo-arrrr and all that? Geddit now? Luv, Rob

Have you considered the fact that this might work another way? I am wondering if anyone else has come across something like this in the past? Let me know your thoughts…
