Think about this (points of contention)

Think about these, will’ya!

Tracking animals

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the Mad Cow epidemic the New Zealand government could track a single cow (born in the Waikato district almost three years ago, right down to the stall where she slept) anywhere in the Waikato district? And even tracked her calves to their stalls.

But the government there are unable to locate the 125,000 illegal immigrants wandering around that country. Maybe the Kiwis should give each of them a cow.

The British Constitution

The constitution: the ‘plumbing’ or the ‘hidden wiring’ of a country.

The Brits (and also Americans) keep talking about drafting a constitution for Iraq. Why don’t we just give them this one? The British constitution was drawn up by a lot of really smart guys, has worked for centuries, and they are not using it anymore…

The Ten Commandments

The real reason we cannot have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse or Parliament building is this: You cannot post “Thou shalt not steal,” “Thou shalt not commit adultery” or “Thou shalt not lie” in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.

You are part of the problem

Think about this. If you don’t want to think about or point out to others about things like those on top (or anything else awkward or inconvenient) for fear of offending someone, you are part of the problem.

  1. If illegal immigrants had numbered ear-tags like cattle then we would be able to track them too. You are exactly right though, if you are willing to accept the stupidity of modern life without dissent then you are the bloody problem. Great posts lately mate!
