National Casual Dress Whatever Day

Sunday 2 October 2011, 12.20am HKT

AND SO IT HAS COME TO PASS that 20 minutes ago (1st October) ended our National Day.

That’s PRC National Day – “PRC” being the People’s Republic of China.

Yes, since 1997, Hong Kong has become an ‘integral’ component of China.

Interestingly by far was that 1st October was also Dress Casual Day in Hong Kong.

One probably wouldn’t associate dressing down with one’s national day, to be quite frank.

Somebody in our [Hong Kong] government clearly didn’t pay enough attention to the calendar.

The bright spot? “Men in Black II” (2002) on telly.
