House of Commons, unplugged

AN OLDIE but a goodie.

Tory MP Graham ‘Axeman’ Evans lets loose during a speech by Liam Fox, the UK Defence Secretary (2005–2010).

Clearly, Evans’ a member of the Ministry of Sound.

Been reliably informed (and reliably confirmed) that it’s the opening to “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction” (The Rolling Stones).

Update: I am even more reliably informed that it’s an Eddie Van Halen guitar solo.

This post is a response to someone whose opinion is that our politicos in Hong Kong “are no less competent than the foreign ones you are talking about.”

O rly? I rest my case.

Beats masturbating under the desk like ours do, doesn’t it? Heh.

At least the ‘air guitar’ wasn’t something else, See, e.g., former Oklahoma jurist Donald D. Thompson and his under-the-bench pump action.

    • In the UK, the judges use the hearings for sleeping off the strain of getting extreme fellatio from the male paralegals in chambers. Bad behaviour in the UK isn’t punished – they’re ‘graded’ instead.

“Please, Your Honour, don’t do that. You are putting my learned colleague of the prosecution to shame.”
