HABITS

WHICH colour ink do I prefer to write in?

I absolutely prefer to write in blue.

The funny thing is many people say my handwriting looks wonderful in black, which is not my preference but I have nothing against it.

It’s blue, but looks too dark because of my potato-quality phone camera

Babe artwork: The plumbing

Monday 20 July 2015, 12.01am HKT

8.55pm local time, AC on so it’s 19°C (66°F)

JUST a few potato shots of how I crank out my ‘art’ (and things that pretend to be Art).

‘Crank’ being the operative word — ‘mixed media’ would be the preferred artistically pretentious description, but a helluva lot of in-between shortcuts and cheating might be a more realistic one. ‘Crap’ is perhaps more honest.

cat wagging tail

I’M not really one for naming anything that breathes at night, but it’ll do this time.

Yes, I know that sentence is ambiguous, — it’s NAMING things at night, not things that BREATHE at night, thankyouverymuch.

It’s English, c’mon.

HERE’S something to ground up your brains and feed the bits to the cat.

For those who know two or more languages, which one do you feel your voice sounds most attractive in?

Let’s not get tangled up for now in that nonsense called ‘correct’ grammar or even mastery of the language. Let’s just stick to aesthetically pleasant impressions.

(Sounds of raucous laughter in the background.)

Which comfort food?

Wednesday 8 July 2015, 1.41am HKT

11.01pm local time, 27°C (81°F), AC on

The Evil Sandwich

Americans and Chinese living abroad are the ones who will ask what your ‘comfort food’ is.

It sounds almost as if they’re unhappy or or sad or something living overseas — as if they’re on some hardship posting whilst on corporate relocation package, superannuation, etc, etc, etc. Never mind. Money cannot buy happiness, after all.

So what is my favourite comfort food in my locality or country?
